Business Intelligence is a broad term, but is making use of the data your business generates for actionable insights like KPIs, dashboards, and interactive reports.  It is typically automated meaning you don't have to wait for a science project in excel to be completed, and you can trust it will be built correctly every time. 

Microsoft has released a low-cost business intelligence tool called "Power BI" to connect to your system and create actionable insights.  Above is a dashboard using sample data created by Vanloffelt CPA.   Power BI has a quick turnaround and easy license requirements.

Create financial forecasts and scenario testing using different inputs and assumptions.  This can be anything from standard models like the "3 Statement Model" and 13-Week Cash Forecast to investment cases like Make/Buy, Investment Return, etc.
